Album Info:The Berkshire Scenic Railway tourist train operation has relocated from Lenox, MA up to North Adams, MA, where they run weekend excursions with an ex-B&M Budd RDC-1 on Pan Am's Adams branch. The Train currently originates in North Adams and goes as far south as Renfrew station, north of the Adams, MA town center. Plans are for the track to be extended south another 3/4 mile so that the ride will eventually reach downtown Adams, MA. I rode and chased the RDC with my daughter and grandson. It was new mileage for this inveterate track collector. The track over which this excursion operates is a remnant of an ex-Boston & Albany (NYC) branch that used to run between Pittsfield and North Adams. The track was pulled up south of the quarries in Adams and converted over to a rail-trail.
